Hi, we’re Ellen and Justin.
After spending a grueling 6 months scouring every inch of a guidebook just to plan a measly two-week trip, we vowed to make travel planning easier on ourselves and less time-consuming for you from now on. That’s why we developed The Time-Crunched Traveler, a travel information site that helps you make the most of your limited vacation time.
If we can find the time to travel, you can, too.
Our goal is to help you quench your insatiable thirst for travel, exploration, and adventure without quitting your job, liquidating your assets, or abandoning your children.
Whether you’re planning a two-week adventure overseas or just gearing up for the next three-day weekend, we’ll help you spend less time planning and more time traveling.
More about us …
We both work full-time, but are determined to see the world without having to quit our day jobs and cash in all our stocks. In June 2010, we embarked on the greatest adventure of all — marriage! We spent a lovely three weeks honeymooning along Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Since then, we’ve traveled to over ten countries together and recently relocated to Tianjin, China!
When we’re back home in the United States, we love to hike the mountains of New England together and then hit up the local craft breweries for a refreshing taste of the local flavor.
Between the two of us, we’ve visited nearly 30 countries on five continents!
Although we love to travel together now, travel actually played an important part in our lives long before we even met …
Ellen’s Story

Ellen first traveled overseas at age 15 when her father insisted upon sending her on a school trip to Germany. And that’s when it happened: high atop Switzerland’s Mt. Pilatus, she was bitten by the travel bug and has never quite recovered. It was on that trip that she realized she would never stop traveling. Since then, she has traveled to nearly 20 countries on five continents. She’s obsessed with Washington, D.C. and loves the feeling of being in the developing world. Her favorite countries include Croatia, Egypt, and Belize. Recently she founded Xenith Creative, a content marketing agency specializing in internet and social media marketing, copywriting, and copy editing for small-to-medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations. She continues to hold her father responsible for all the money she has spent on travel since that first trip to Europe.
Justin’s Story

Justin grew up overseas, moving to a new country — and a new continent — every few years with his family. By the time he turned 18, Justin had lived in five different countries. His travel highlights include horse trekking in the mountains of southwestern China’s Sichuan Province, viewing the breath-taking coastline of South Africa’s Garden Route, gazing out across Alaska’s Harding Ice Field (and realizing it’s the size of Rhode Island!), helping build a hospital in La Romana, Dominican Republic, and SCUBA diving in Egypt’s Ras Mohammed National Park. Through all of this, he has learned that no matter which corner of the globe you’re in, there is beauty to be found in the landscape, people, and culture.
